V-030 LAPAROSCOPIC TAPP MCBURNEY'S INCISIONAL HERNIA REPAIR: A CASE REPORT

نویسندگان

چکیده

Abstract Background Lateral incisional hernia surgery represents an underappreciated challenge for general surgeons. McBurney's (L3) after appendectomy is rare, with incidence between 0.1 and 0.9%. Several studies have found fewer postoperative complications the laparoscopic approach compared open approach. Objective To show a video of transabdominal preperitoneal (TAPP) associated small right lateral inguinal hernia. Method We report case 52 years old man, previous in 2013, diagnosed (L3W2R0) (L1M0F0P). The patient was scheduled TAPP repair. Results operated as ambulatory no intraoperative complications. No recurrence nor other detected during short, 4th month, follow up surgery. Conclusions Minimal invasive repair mesh abdominal hernias cause less pain, short hospital stay, lower surgical site infection, possibly can reduce wider overlap defect possible. This technique has shown to be feasible reproducible selected cases.

Laparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair

An incisional hernia (Fig 1.) is defined as any abdominal wall gap with or without a bulge in the area of a postoperative scar perceptible or palpable by clinical examination or imaging [1]. Incisional hernia is a common long-term complication following abdominal surgery and is estimated to occur in 11-23% [2, 3]. Laparoscopic repair of incisional hernia.

A 75-year-old man developed an incisional hernia over the upper abdomen following a wedge resection of a gastric stromal tumour in 1996. This is the first published report of a successful repair of an incisional hernia via a laparoscopic intraperitoneal on-lay technique using GORE-TEX DualMesh material in Hong Kong. Compared with conventional open repair of incisional hernia, long incisions and...

Characterizing laparoscopic incisional hernia repair.

INTRODUCTION Laparoscopic repair of ventral and incisional hernias (LVIHRs) is feasible; however, many facets of this procedure remain poorly defined. The indications, essential technical features and postoperative management should be standardized to optimize outcomes and facilitate training in this promising approach to incisional hernia repair. METHODS All patients referred to one surgeon ...

Initial experience of laparoscopic incisional hernia repair.

Laparoscopic repair of ventral and incisional hernia has become increasingly popular as compared to open repair. The procedure has the advantages of minimal access surgery, reduction of post operative pain and the recurrence rate. A prospective study of laparoscopic incisional hernia repair was performed in our center from August 2002 to April 2004. Eighteen cases (n: 18) were performed during ...

Laparoscopic Incisional Hernia Repair in Obese Patients

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Laparoscopic incisional hernia repair is coming to the forefront as a preferred method of repair due to the advantages offered by minimally invasive techniques. To evaluate safety and feasibility of this approach in obese patients when performed by a general surgeon trained in basic laparoscopy with no prior experience in this technique, we reviewed our early experienc...
